Following my unforgettable experience on a Design for America team my sophomore year, I became a Project Team Director for the MIT chapter. As Project Team Director, I oversaw the six project teams at MIT (about 30 people), communicated with community organizations, organized and taught product design workshops, and guided teams in ideation, user interviews, prototyping, and implementation of projects. Currently, I serve as a co-president. In the biggest year of growth since the organization's establishment in 2013, we have more than 75 members for the 2016-2017 school year. As president, I strive to expand MIT's product design community, stress the importance of user research, empower students, and inspire meaningful engineering projects that will make a tangible impact in local communities and beyond.
